Dr. Janna Gefter, DPM

Dr. Janna Gefter, DPM graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.

She is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and has a combination of 11 years of education and over 12 years of experience.

The experience began with my residency. I completed the first year at St. Barnabas hospital in the Bronx, where I focused on all aspects of medicine, such as internal and emergency medicine, dermatology, pediatrics and infectious disease. As the specialty of Podiatry is focused on the foot and ankle part of the human body, my second and third years were spent on training in all aspects foot and ankle pathology.

There are a wide range of ailments that are treated by a Podiatrist. A patient’s concern could be as simple as an annoying corn or something life-threatening like a massive infection. As such I learned that treatment options can range from the modest and precautionary all the way through to surgical.
